Design a Poster and Create a Slogan and a Logo for World Oral Health Day

World Oral Health Day (WOHD) is celebrated every year on 20 March. It is an international day to celebrate the benefits of a healthy mouth and to promote worldwide awareness of the issues around oral health and the importance of oral hygiene to looking after everyone old and young.

WOHD 2016 aims to get everyone to recognise the impact their oral health has on overall physical health and wellbeing to help inspire this change, the overall campaign theme is: Healthy mouth. Healthy body.
This year we at Centre for Dental Education & Research, AIIMS, New Delhi (National Centre of Excellence for Implementation of National Oral Health Programme) want to ensure that this poster/slogan contest inspires every citizen of India to promote oral health.
• The Competition is open to all citizens of India only.
• All entries must be submitted to the creative corner section of www.mygov.in. Entries submitted through any other medium/ mode would not be considered for evaluation.
• The winning design of the poster, logo and slogan would be the intellectual property of the Government of India and the winner cannot exercise any right over it, after acceptance of the prize. The prize winning poster and slogan is meant to be used by Government of India for promotional and display purposes, IEC materials and also for any other use as may be deemed appropriate for the initiative.
• None of the entries must contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content
• The poster and slogan must be in either Hindi or English language only.
• Multiple submissions of either logo or tagline by the same participant would not be considered; however, a participant may submit an entry for either poster or logo or slogan or all three.
• The participant must be the same person who has designed the poster / logo and plagiarism would not be allowed.
• Please note that the poster design and slogan must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
• Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright would be disqualified from the competition. Government of India does not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.
• The employees of CDER-AIIMS as well as their family members are not allowed to take part in this competition.
• Participant is to make sure that his/her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since CDER-AIIMS would be using this for further communication. This includes details such as name, photo, complete postal address, email ID and phone number. Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered.
• CDER-AIIMS reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Contest and/ or the Terms & Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria. However, any changes to the Terms & Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria, or cancellation of the Contest, will be updated/ posted on the MyGov platform. It would be the responsibility of the participants to keep themselves informed of any changes in the Terms & Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria stated for this Contest.
• Participants need to submit their entry separately for each Contest (i.e. Poster, Logo & Slogan).
• The last date for submission is 20th May 2017

Poster
• Participants should upload the poster in JPEG / PNG / SVG format only.
• The poster should be designed on a digital platform. The winner of the competition shall be required to submit the design in an editable and open file format.
• Participants should not imprint or watermark poster design.
• Poster should be designed in colour. The size of the poster should be 17 inches x 23 inches in either portrait or landscape orientation.
• The poster should be usable on the website/social media such as Twitter/Facebook and on printed material such as b/w press releases, stationery and signage.
Slogan
 The slogan has to be typed in either Hindi or English and then uploaded.
·  Images of slogans written in ink will not be considered.
·  Participants should upload the Slogan in PDF format only.
·  The slogans should be catchy and should not be more than 20 words.
Logo Design: Terms and Conditions
• The logo design must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
• Participants should upload the Logo in JPEG/ JPG/ PNG/ SVG format only.
• Logo should be designed in colour.
• The size of the logo may vary from 5cm*5cm to 60cm*60cm in either portrait or landscape.

ICWA Essay Writing Competition 2017

As part of its ‘Awareness Programme on Indian Foreign Policy’, Indian Council of World Affairs announces the second edition of ICWA Essay Competition for school students (15-18 years) and undergraduate/ post graduate students (18-25Years).
Topics
The young writers this year have the opportunity to demonstrate their innovative thinking on the following topic:
Junior Level (15-18 years):
What India’s Foreign Policy means to Young India/ India’s Foreign Policy Priorities for the Youth – (1500 words).
Senior Level (18-25 years):
Conflict, Religion and Foreign Policy (2500 words).

ICWA Essay Writing Competition 2017 Terms & Conditions: 
The participants must be an enrolled student in a School or graduate/post graduate degree program in a College/University from anywhere across India. 
The essays should be submitted on MyGov, latest by 30th July, 2017 
The entries should be submitted along with a certificate from School/Institute/College/University where the participant is currently enrolled. 
A participant can send only one entry. In case it is found that any participant has submitted more than one entry, all will be considered invalid.  The entry should be original. Copied entries will not be considered under the contest. 
The participant must be the same person who has written the essay and plagiarism would not be allowed. 
The entries should include a separate cover page carrying the following personal information:
 1) Name of the participant
2) Father/Mother Name
3) Class/Programme
4) Name and Address of School/College/ University
 5) Residence Address
6) Mobile & Landline Numbers and
 7) Email Address
ICWA Essay Writing Competition 2017 Technical Parameters: 
The participant should submit the essay in .PDF file format only. 
Essay Text font should be only among three type: 1. Book Antiqua, 2. Cambria 3. Times New Roman. 
Font size should be 12. 
Line spacing should be 1.15 only.
 Paper Margins: allow 1-inch margins on all four sides and justify text on both sides 
Number of Words: 1500 words for Junior level participants and 2500 words for Senior level category.
ICWA Essay Writing Competition 2017 Evaluation Criteria:
All the entries received within the due date will be placed before a Selection Committee for final selection. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding on all the contestants.

The essays will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
1. Central Theme (20%)
2. Coherence and Organization in Structure (20%)
3. Creativity (40%)
 4. Clarity in Language, Expression and Style (20%)

Green Images-2017: National Digital Photography Contest

Kerala State Biodiversity Board invites photographers for the National Digital photography contest “Green Images-2017’ under two categories
1) Amateur: Age group 10 years to 17 years
2) Professional: 18 years and above
The contest is open from 1 st April to 30th April 2017. The theme of the competition for 1st category is “The Green Earth” and 2nd category is “Biodiversity and Sustainable Tourism”. The event carries cash prizes for 1st, 2 nd and 3rd prize winner in addition to consolation prizes. Certificates of merit will be awarded to photographers selected for final round. A maximum of five digital photographs of size 1 MB to 5 MB each, with duly filled up entry forms are to be sent by e-mail to greenimages2017@gmail.com. The photos will be posted in Kerala State Biodiversity Board facebook with due credit to sender. The most liked entry in facebook under each category will be given a separate prize. Only those photographs that have not been published in any newspaper or magazine or elsewhere will be considered. The prize will be distributed in a public function in connection with the International day for Biological Diversity on May 22nd

Rules
1. The contest is open to all Indian citizens except employees of Kerala State Biodiversity Board
2. KSBB has the right to use the photos for its publication and website.
3. The photos previously published elsewhere will not be eligible for the contest.
4. A person can send maximum of five photographs, but separate entry form should be attached with each photo.
5. The size of the photo should between 1 MB to 5 MB for each and they should be send in JPG file format.
6. If selected for prize the original photo along with proof of address and age should be produced before KSBB
7. False entries will be rejected
